back to school booksWhen children are about to start school for the first time, the may be a little anxious. What will they do in school all day? How should they behave? Will they make new friends? One way to help children relieve some of their anxiety is to read a few back to school books and what’s better than books with familiar and beloved characters? My personal favorite is Amelia Bedelia, but there are other favorite characters like the Berenstain Bears and Rotten Ralph.  Many of the books have some humor, which can help dispel the anxiety that some kids may feel about starting school.
