February CalendarGifted kids love learning, love being challenged, love keeping busy, so it can be exhausting to find things for them to learn and to do. One easy way to find fun things to do and to learn about is by checking out the holidays and observances of each month. Those listed here are the ones I think are perfect for gifted kids and their families. Valentine’s Day is one we all know about, but there are so many others.

Spend the month learning about this history of black Americans. Learn about weathermen (and women), read some fairy tales, teach your child about the opera, learn about Pluto — there is so much to pick from. But don’t worry if you can’t fit it all in this month. There is always next year!
